Celebrities Go Fishing

So much attention is paid to celebrities — they have whole teams to make them look and sound good — that sometimes when they’re off the clock, they simply want to commune with nature — and get their hands dirty, bloody, or both. That bring us to celebrities who enjoy fishing. While stars could go pretty much anywhere during their time out of the spotlight, some like to kick back — and get dirty. Fish guts and all.

Heidi Klum

When she’s not running her fashion empire or raising her four children, Heidi Klum is launching careers on both America’s Got Talent and Project Runway. So the model loves her vacations — and fishing apparently. “Gone fishing,” Klum captioned this photo from April. She had everything she needed: a string bikini, hat, and pole. David Beckham

The retired soccer star loves fishing and showing off what he reels in on social media. Here he is in May with his “Catch of the day.” Looks like he didn’t even break a sweat. (Photo: David Beckham via Instagram)

Chris Pratt and Jack Pratt

Apologies to all other fishing buddies on the planet because there is no way you could be cuter than these two. Under the camo hats are Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt and his nearly 5-year-old son, Jack. “Not sure what made me more proud: When Jack insisted on holding this barracuda himself, or when he tried it raw!” wrote the actor, who is married to Anna Faris, in June. “No better way to share God’s bounty with your babies and make life long memories than fishing! Get out on the water!” (Photo: Chris Pratt via Instagram)

It’s official: The singer can make any activity — including one that can get pretty messy — look fabulous. Here she is in 2015 kicking back on a dirty fishing boat having a drink and a smoke, and making it look fashion-photo-shoot fabulous, as only Ri-Ri can. FYI, she later ate her catch. The NYC resident, who has six kids, spends as much time as she can at her Hamptons abode — and she’s been known to drop a line or two. This photo, taken in August, was snapped by her old pal, Debi Mazar, while they were off the shores of Sag Harbor, and before the small fish was released back into the water. Ciara and Russell Wilson

Perhaps Ciara and Russell Wilson knew they were a fit for each other after they went fishing together here in March 2016. While it was the songstress’s first time, she had good luck, describing it as a “proud moment.” She should be even more proud that her bathing suit remained so bright and white instead of being covered with fish guts. Seriously — what an accomplishment. (Photo Ciara via Instagram)

Hugh Jackman

In New Mexico filming Logan last August — can’t you tell by the Wolverine beard?the Australian actor caught his own din-din. “First catch of the day!” Jackman wrote as he proudly posed next to his prize. (Photo: Hugh Jackman via Instagram)

Kevin Hart

The funnyman is on vacation for most of the year, so it’s no surprise he cast a line during one of those trips. “I do it all,” the “man of many talents” captioned this 2015 pic during his Costa Rica vacation. Yes, he does. (Photo: Kevin Hart via Twitter)

Laura Prepon

Right now, the Orange Is the New Black star is prepping for motherhood, but last July she was doing some deep-sea fishing. Describing it as her “happy place,” she shared some photos of her haul. “Caught my first porgie!! Released him back into the big blue, but that was a fun challenge!” she wrote. Karlie Kloss

Who knew fishing was such a thing with supermodels? Klossy looked liked a pro during an end-of-summer adventure in Saratoga, Wyo., last August. However, she had little success, quipping, “I got bagel bites.” (Photo: Karlie Kloss via Instagram)

Chris Hemsworth

The Thor star, who relocated his family back to his native Australia for all of its outdoor offerings, enjoyed “a little sunset fish with the boys” in the Kimberley region in June 2016. Boys, beers, and bobbers — oh, boy! (Photo: Chris Hemsworth via Instagram)

Jutin Bieber

The “Boyfriend” singer is always on the move — whether he’s in a private plane or one of his fancy sports cars — so we wouldn’t peg him as a fisherman, but he loves the sport. In March 2016, he did some fly fishing in an incognito ensemble. (Photo: Justin Bieber via Instagram)

Josh Holloway

All those years of living in Hawaii while shooting Lost must have helped develop the actor’s fishing skills. He was happy to show off a “tiger trout,” which he described as “a rare catch (and release),” in June 2016. (Photo: Josh Holloway via Instagram)

Shay Mitchell

The Pretty Little Liars alum was all in — with waders — during a trip to Big Sky, Mont., in March 2016. “Made a new friend named Fred yesterday! so fun,” she wrote, noting that she was also a catch-and-release kind of gal. (Photo: Facebook)
