Clinton rises to history in the newspapers on final day of the DNC

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton cast herself as a steady leader at a “moment of reckoning” for America on Thursday night, contrasting her character with what she described as the dangerous and volatile Donald Trump.

In the biggest speech of her quarter century in politics, Clinton accepted the nomination for the Nov. 8 election with a promise to make the United States a country that works for everyone.

“We are clear-eyed about what our country is up against. But we are not afraid,” she said. She also said the nation must keep going until all 161 million women and girls in the country have the opportunities they deserve. Clinton added: “When there are no ceilings, the sky’s the limit.”

The reactions to her remarks are reflected in the front pages of newspapers across the country. (Reuters/Yahoo News)
