Flamingos from above

Now that's what you call a bird's-eye view! Breathtaking images capture a flock of flamingos from above. The stunning aerial shots from Lake Logipi, Kenya, give a unique and stunning perspective on African wildlife.

The pink birds look even more colorful against the dark backdrop, and taken from the air, the images allow for a new appreciation of their huge numbers.

Amateur photographer Michael Viljoen, 58, took these images in late August from a plane with its doors removed, which he says presented many challenges when it came to taking the photos. (Caters News)
