I learned from my mom to invest in the pieces you love and will wear every day.

I have these really cute “Hey Mama” beaded friendship bracelet from my jewelry line. They are the perfect gift to give to your mama!

What is the best style advice you received from your mother?
“Who cares what everybody else thinks?”

What will you give your mom this year?
Casablanca lilies are her favorite. I’ll have a big bouquet delivered which will make her house smell amazing for the whole week. Plus she asked me to set up a Facebook account for her business so I’ll do that too.

What is the best style advice you received from your mother?
Be your own person, never copy someone else’s style and always look put together from head to toe (no matter where you are going). That includes hair and makeup. (Seriously, even if I am running to the corner store she says you never know who you will run into)
What will you give your mom this year?
Earrings from John Hardy and a canvas of this photo of the two of us from the campaign to celebrate and act as a reminder of this moment. My mom is my biggest supporter and always is trying to figure out what it is exactly that I do, so having her on set with me this day was such an eye opening experience for her. It obviously meant so much to me. (Not to mention the final product came out BEYOND WORDS!)

What is the best style advice you received from your mother?
My mother has never been afraid of a pop of color, and while I’m a bit more conservative than she is, color-wise, I’ve learned to appreciate and incorporate a bit of brightness into my typical black/gray/white/denim uniform.

What will you give your mom this year?
Unlike me, my mother rarely invests in designer pieces, so I always look at holidays like Mother’s Day, her birthday, and Christmas as an excuse to buy her something she wouldn’t buy herself…like the Proenza Schouler curl clutch in coral and watermelon. She loves Karen Walker sunglasses too, so I’m also considering a pair of her new Babou Sunglasses!

What is the best style advice you received from your mother?
My mom has always taught me to really OWN MY STYLE. Having great style is not about always having the high-end designer labels. It is about how you mix and match the high and the low. What matters most is how you put it together and feel confidant doing so.

What will you give your mom this year?
Being that my parents live in California, I wont be able to physically spend the day with her, so we plan on celebrating it early when I fly out end of April. Brunch, a sweet card and time well spent together is all that she ever wants!

In order to look good, at times, a women will suffer for fashion. I’m reminded of that, when it is a long day of shows and I’m wearing major high heels.

A card made by my kids, Gloria and George.

My mother once told me that it’s better to be underdressed than overdressed – and that has always worked for me since I’m all about comfort!
What will you give your mom this year?
I’ll be giving her the MAMA ring, of course! She’s got to be one of the first mothers rocking it, but shhh, don’t tell her.

You can never be too overdressed.

What will you give your mom this year?
This year, I’m planning a surprise trip for my mother to Napa. It will be so lovely to have that relaxing time to be a family, I hope it will be special and something we will always remember.

Develop your own personal style; don’t follow trends.

What would you like to receive on Mother’s Day this year?
I’d love to receive a massage this year, I rarely treat myself! I would also love to receive this Parker Thatch tennis bag. My daughter gets so many compliments when she wears hers and it is just so much better looking than the athletic brand versions. I love the natural canvas, navy edging and green printed rackets.
