Muslims across the world celebrate Eid al-Adha

Muslims throughout the world celebrate the annual holiday of Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice, by visiting the tombs of their loved ones; slaughtering sheep, goats, cows and camels; and marking the end of the hajj pilgrimage to Mecca in commemoration of the Prophet Abraham’s readiness to sacrifice his son on God’s command.
