Olympics: India must narrow focus to boost medal hopes in Tokyo - Padukone

By Anupam Pratihary BENGALURU (Reuters) - After bringing home just two medals from the Rio Olympics, India needs to be realistic in its preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Games and should narrow its focus to a handful of sports, says former All England badminton champion Prakash Padukone. P.V. Sindhu's silver medal in the badminton women's singles and a bronze from wrestler Sakshi Malik at the Rio Games was considered a sorry return for a nation of 1.3 billion people. With the National Hockey League and its players' association undecided about future Olympic participation, the two parties opted to re-boot the World Cup of Hockey, a two-week event that reportedly generated about $130 million in revenue. It's not a good time to be a West Ham United fan at the moment. Languishing in 19th position in the Premier League table, questions being asked of manager Slaven Bilic, first team players being photographed drunk and a raft of injuries to key personnel have ensured that Hammers fans are enduring one of their worst spells since the club was relegated in May 2011. And, after West Ham supporters voted in their droves in a recent Fanvoice poll, many blame their side's move to their new stadium as... More »

Are You Sure?! Rio Ferdinand Less Than Impressed With Legend Rating on FIFA 17

Rio Ferdinand saw his FIFA rating drop to 79 in his final season with Queens Park Rangers having been regarded an 88 at Manchester United only two years previously on FIFA 13.
