Liverpool are through to the Champions League semi-finals after beating Manchester City in their own backyard.

The Reds went into the second leg at the Etihad with a healthy 3-0 lead from their demolition of Pep Guardiola’s side at Anfield last week.

They completed the job with another victory in the return fixture after surviving an early scare when Gabriel Jesus scored just seconds from kick-off to give City hope.

Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino struck in the second half to turn the tables as Guardiola watched on from the stands after being sent off for confronting the referee at the midway point.
