Pusarla Venkata Sindhu has made India proud at the world’s largest sporting spectacle. The final was definitely a nail-biting match and Sindhu has achieved no mean feat. She got us a silver, the highest medal we got at the Olympics this year. Not only that, she received titles of many ‘Firsts’  Sindhu is India’s first woman to win a silver medal at the Olympics. She is the first Indian Badminton player to enter Olympic finals. And at 21, she is the youngest Indian Olympian to win a medal. The rewards don’t stop here. 

P Gopichand and Sindhu got a rousing reception as they landed in India and the celebrations have just begun. A felicitation ceremony was organized for them in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telengana. Sindhu received a ton of appreciation in a lot of forms apart from wishes.
