Singapore's Paralympians return after successful Rio campaign

Returning from their most successful Paralympics campaign, Theresa Goh and Yip Pin Xiu wheeled themselves out to a blitz of flashes as the media greeted them at Changi Airport terminal three in front of about 100 supporters early Wednesday morning (21 Sept).

During the Rio 2016 Paralympics, Goh clinched the bronze medal at the 100m breaststroke SB4 event after four Paralympics appearances.

Meanwhile, Yip made history by winning two gold medals in the 50m and 100m backstroke S2 category and breaking the world record for both events.

There will be a celebratory parade for all the Paralympians on Saturday (24 Sept) starting at Sengkang Sports Centre at 9am. It will also stop at the National Library, and conclude at Vivocity.
