It’s been thrilling to follow
Tamera Mowry-Housley’s natural hair journey over the years.
As one-half of the dynamic
and a co-host on Sister, Sister twins The Real, we’ve seen Tamera go from sporting floppy hat-adorned ringlets to long and wavy hair extensions. But now, she’s embracing her gorgeous and thick natural curls.
On a recent trip to New York City, the 39-year-old was spotted wearing a
curly braided updo. Styled by hairstylist to the stars Nikki Nelms ( Solange, Zoë Kravitz, Janelle Monáe, and Lala Anthony are among her famous clients), the look was a fashion-forward combo of fluffy curls and metallic silver ribbon-woven cornrows. Ironically, the pattern the braids and ribbon formed reminded us of the constellations.
Nelms is known for using unconventional hair accessories. Remember the
googly eyeballs and safety pins she placed onto Janelle’s top knots? What about Solange’s Patrice Rushen-inspired beads and braids ‘do? This curly braided updo she created for Tamera is yet another example of her artistry.
