The first round of group matches are over. We are into the second part of the first phase with three great matches on what we will call Wonderful Wednesday.

First up at 1pm is Portugal v Morocco. Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning hat-trick against Spain in Portugal’s opener has been the highlight of the tournament so far – while Morocco lost 1-0 to Iran and defeat will see them eliminated today.

The 4pm offering is Uruguay v Saudi Arabia. Luis Suarez will be looking to improve on his dismal showing against Egypt in his opening match even though his side snatched a late win while the Saudis were hammered 5-0 by hosts Russia.

And to end the day at 7pm, Iran take on Spain knowing a win will see them through and could see the Spanish exiting at the group stage for the second successive tournament.
