Shane Jurgensen was a Queensland born, Australian cricketer who now focuses on his cricket coaching. During his early days, he played for Western Australia, Tasmania, as well as his home team – Queensland.
Primarily a fast-bowler, tall and powerful Jurgensen also represented the Under-19 national side but retired after the 2006-07 season. He was New Zealand's coach during 2008-2010 followed by his one year tenure with Bangladesh as a bowling coach and interim coach. He has nearly coached for 15 years and in 2013, he was appointed full-time coach of Bangladesh.
