  1. 10:02 - Next up for Murray is the winner between Jarkko Nieminen or Florent Serra, who are out on court right now locked deep in a fifth set

  2. 6-3 - AND MURRAY IS THROUGH TO THE THIRD ROUND as Gicquel sends his backhand down the line wide into the tramlines.

  3. Ad-40 - And Gicquel saves the second with a cross court forehand winner but Murray sets up a third when Gicquel hits into the net

  4. 40-30 - Gicquel saves the first with some great defensive play that ends when Murray hits into the net

  5. 40-15 - A great lob from Murray brings the Scot TWO MATCH POINTS ...

  6. 5-3 - Murray is just one game away now from the third round as he fires down an emphatic overhead to seal another service hold. Gicquel will have to serve to stay in it

  7. 4-3 - MURRAY BREAKS! Murray fails to take a first break point as Gicquel dinks a delicious drop shot over the net. But the British number one soon brings up a second with a determined rush to the net... Gicquel double faults on the next point and Murray breaks back!

  8. 3-3 - GICQUEL BREAKS! A slack-er game from Murray allows the Frenchman to break through despite him managing to save a first break point and Gicquel eventually seals it with a backhand winner down the line

  9. 3-2 - Gicquel holds when Murray hits into the net and the Brit was not happy in that game about an out call on his backhand down the line at full stretch. Murray thought he'd landed it but with no hawkeye on Margaret Court he had to accept the call

  10. 3-1 - Murray saves another break point working his way into the court before putting away a forehand smash before going on to hold and consolidate the early break in this set

  11. 2-1 - Murray breaks. Solid play from Murray as he breaks to 15 when Gicquel throws in a poorer game and a series of groundstroke errors.

  12. 1-1 - Murray also eases through his opening service game of this third set

  13. 0-1 - Gicquel holds for the opening game of the third set when Murray sends a defensive backhand, which he plays slightly off balance, long of the baseline

  14. 6-4 - MURRAY TAKES THE SECOND SET! Good work from the Scot as he works his way up to the net before battering a forehand winner off the shorter ball to seal the two sets to love lead

  15. 5-4 - Gicquel holds to force Murray to serve out the second set ...

  16. 5-3 - Murray sends a backhand down the line to seal another game that leaves him potentially just one game away from a two sets to love lead

  17. 4-3 - A bit more of a sloppy game from Murray as he sends a backhand down the line into the net to help Gicquel on his way to another hold that keeps him just one break down in this second set

  18. 4-2 - Murray saves a break point when Gicquel hits a forehand long of the baseline before going on to hold and maintain his lead

  19. 3-2 - Gicuel doubles his output from the first set by grabbing a second game in this second set to keep the pressure on Murray, trailing by just the one break

  20. 3-1 - Consecutive aces number four and five from Murray, the latter out wide, seal another hold for the Scot to maintain his break lead in this second set

  21. 2-1 - Gicquel gets himself on the scoresheet a little earlier in the second set than the first as he throws in an ace of his own to seal a hold to 30

  22. 2-0 - Muuray batters two serves out wide, the second of which is an ace, to consolidate the early break in this set and leave himself very firmly in control. Gicquel did push him to deuce in that game though

  23. 1-0 - Murray continues to ease through this match, breaking for the opening game of the second set - a forehand winner bringing up the break point before Gicquel errs with a forehand of his own to allow the break

  24. 6-1 - Murray fires down his second ace of the match, this time down the centre of the court, to wrap up the first set 6-1 after just 24 minutes

  25. 5-1 - An errant forehand, that is completely mis-hit from Murray, allows Gicquel to hold to 30 and at least get a game on the scoreboard in this set. But Murray will serve for it and have a couple of chances to do so

  26. 5-0 - A slightly tougher service game for Murray this time around as Gicquel pushes him to deuce but he seals it without facing a break point when the Frenchman sends a backhand into the net. He will have to serve to stay in the set after the change of ends

  27. 4-0 - Murray breaks once again when Gicquel sends a backhand down the line wide but only after the Brit had come up with an audacious cross court forehand sliced drop shot winner a couple of points before

  28. 3-0 - It's a great start from Murray as he holds with ease with a sliced backhand drop shot down the line to consolidate the early break and race out to a 3-0 lead

  29. 2-0 - Gicquel raced out to a 30-0 lead on his opening service game before imploding and throwing in two forehand errors, a double fault and then a backhand error to hand Murray an early break

  30. 1-0 - A very solid start for Murray as he races through he opening service game to hold to love

  31. 0-0 - And it will be Murray to get the clash underway by serving first ...

  32. 08:10 - These two have faced each other once before and it was Murray that emerged triumphant that time so he will feel fairly confident heading into today
