  1. 15:53 - So Stosur is through to her first Grand Slam final. Evonne Goolagong-Cawley is the last Australian woman to win a Grand Slam, back in 1980 at Wimbledon, while Margaret Court is the last Australian to win at Roland Garros, way back in 1973

  2. 6-2 - WINNER! What a fantastic match from Sam Stosur! She has no doubt been the form player in this tournament as she wraps up the win with, fittingly, a cracking cross court forehand right on to the sideline. Jankovic has a look but doesn't challenge it and that is Stosur through

  3. 40-15 - Stosur does not look like she is going to get nervous and let this one go as she sets up TWO MATCH POINTS when Jankovic drills an inside out forehand return well wide across court ...

  4. 5-2 - BREAK STOSUR! Stosur batters a cross court forehand return winner that brings up another break point. Jankovic saves it when Stosur sends a forehand long after taking it late. The Australian earns herself another chance with a forehand return right on to the baseline that Jankovic cannot deal with. Again it goes begging when the Aussie hits wide. But Stosur sets up a third chance with another cracking forehand winner across court. And this time she gets it with an inside out forehand winner

  5. 4-2 - Superb serving from Stosur as she batters down her sixth and seventh aces of the match to hold to 30 after getting herself out of a spot of bother from 15-30 with another huge serve and forehand winner combo

  6. 3-2 - BREAK STOSUR! Ouch! Stosur breaks to love to stamp her authority over this match. She is simply out-hitting the surprisingly sluggish looking Jankovic, the forehand in particular doing damage. But probably unsettlingly, for Jankovic, Stosur's backhand is also on cracking form today. That's her weaker shot!

  7. 2-2 - Stosur is right back in this clash now as she saves another two break points with huge serves that Jankovic cannot deal with and can only send long. And the Australian goes on to hold and level up with a forehand winner

  8. 1-2 - BREAK STOSUR! Jankovic looks like she is cruising towards a service hold to 15 to consolidate the break. But a forehand winner from the Aussie followed by a backhand and then a forehand long from Jankovic hand Stosur a break back point. And sure enough the Australian does get the break back with a solid backhand down the line that Jankovic somehow sends long despite being in a good position to deal with it

  9. 0-2 - BREAK JANKOVIC! Another double fault from Stosur hands three break points to Jankovic. The first is squandered by the Serb as she sends a backhand wide down the line, but she gets it at the second attempt with a forehand passing shot winner down the line after a half-pace forehand approach shot from Stosur

  10. 0-1 - Better from Jankovic as she manages to stop the run of games against her with a solid service hold that ends with a forehand winner

  11. 6-1 - SET STOSUR! Another two aces in the game, the second at 191k/ph hand Stosur TWO SET POINTS ... the first is squandered on a second double fault. But she takes an unexpectedly easy first set on her second try when a sluggish Jankovic completely mis-hits a backhand and has to wait an age only to see it drop wide into the tramlines

  12. 5-1 - BREAK STOSUR! Ouch! Jankovic is falling apart in the face of some unrelenting pressure from Stosur so far today as she slaps a backhand wide to hand the Australian two more break points. The first goes begging when a Stosur forehand catches the top of the tape and drifts just long. But she gets it again at the second attempt when Jankovic slaps long again. Stosur will serve for the first set

  13. 4-1 - Stosur holds to love to consolidate the break, throwing in her third ace to bring up three game points before coming out on top of another decent rally when Jankovic sends a backhand just long across court

  14. 3-1 - BREAK STOSUR! A slack game from Jankovic hands the Australian two early break points in this clash. Both go begging as she hits first a backhand wide and then a forehand long of the baseline. But an inside out forehand into the tramlines from Jankovic hand Stosur a third chance. And this time the Australian gets it as she drills a backhand down the line before whipping an insde out forehand across court for a winner

  15. 2-1 - Huge hitting from Stosur, particularly on serve, as Jankovic fires an out-of-control forehand well long of the baseline to allow the Australian to hold to 15 and remain just in front

  16. 1-1 - Stosur doesn't have a great backhand, although it is a shot that is much improved in the past year, and the Australian drills one long to help Jankovic hold to 30 in her opening service game

  17. 1-0 - A very solid start from Stosur as she holds to 30, recovering with two unreturnable serves after dropping the first two points. And the Aussie holds to get her campaign underway when Jankovic sends a forehand long of the baseline

  18. 14:50 - Sweden's Louise Engzell is the umpire for this match and it will be Stosur to get the clash underway after the Australian won the toss and elected to serve first

  19. 14:47 - These two have met each other four times before with Jankovic leading the head-to-heads by three wins to one. However, two of those meetings where back in 2006 and 2007 when Stosur simply was not the player she is today. The other two clashes both came this year with Stosur, perhaps importantly, winning the most recent of those clashes in Miami

  22. 14:35 - After the unexpectedly early end to the first women's semi-final just a few minutes ago, there will be a slight delay before this clash gets underway. The players will not be out on court for at least another five minutes or so

  23. 14:34 - Jankovic on the other hand has had a quieter run through to the semi-finals, dropping just the one set to tricky Estonian Kaia Kanepi in the second round, with Daniela Hantuchova and Alona Bondarenko her toughest opponents in terms of ranking

  24. 14:30 - Stosur has been in absolutely scintilating form at Roland Garros, repeating her run to the semi-finals of last year, but with some better victories to her name this year. Back-to-back three-set wins over four-times winner Justine Henin and world number one Serena Williams in the fourth round and quarter-finals
