4-5 - It is suddenly all going for Nadal. He has moved up a level and is 5-4 up after another love game. Would be difficult to bet against him winning an eighth Grand Slam title on Sunday in this mood. Murray saves to stay in the match.
4-4 - NADAL BREAKS BACK! Murray drops the first point of the game and faces a nervy moment when Nadal moves 30-15 ahead. Nadal has the chance of a passing shot which hits the net to the relief of Murray. Nadal continues to battle and a booming forehand allows him to bring up a break point, which Murray saves aided by a big first serve. Murray plays a poor drop shot as the game goes to deuce before a double fault gives Nadal advantage. He wins the next point to level.
4-3 - Nadal stays within one game of the Scot. Looks like Murray will have to protect his serve if he is to see this set out. Nadal has recovered well from that drop in the opening game of the set.
4-2 - Murray quickly opens up a 40-0 advantage and he completes the hold with a forehand winner up the line that leaves Nadal stranded. Two games away now from the third set.
3-2 - Nadal keeps in touch with that hold. A massive crowd are watching this out on Henman Hill, Rusedski Ridge or Murray Mound, depending on your take on it. Murray to serve here.
3-1 - Game to Murray! 16 minutes gone of the set. Nadal won two points in that game, but it wasn't enough to distract Murray from the job in hand. A whole host of celebs are watching this match, but the real stars of the show are producing a quality match out there.
2-1 - Nadal finds his second ace of the match to round off that game, but Murray is that key break up. He continues to plough on with his improved serving statistics. He has hit the mark with 67% of his first serves.
2-0 - Murray has not been playing badly today, but Nadal has seized the day on the big points. Murray holds his concentration to move two games to the good after eight minutes of the third set.
1-0 - A slow and untimely start to the third set by Nadal. He quickly falls three break points behind before a poor forehand from the back of the court spins wide. Murray breaks to love. Vital that he consolitates the break in this set.
6-7 - SET TO NADAL! Murray finds a service return winner to move 2-0 ahead. Nadal reduces the gap to 2-1 before a missed forehand brings it back to 2-2. The players swap points before Murray hammers down his tenth ace of the match to move 5-4 clear. Nadal finds the extra shot in a brilliant rally to level at 5-5. A double fault gives Murray a set point on his serve, but Nadal plays a superb volley at net to draw level at 6-6. Nadal enjoys a netcord pass to bring up set point at 7-6 which he takes.
6-6 - Two love holds back-to-back for Nadal and we are into the tiebreak in this second set. Murray badly needing to win this set.
6-5 - Nadal comes on strongly in that game. Wins a couple of points to get his teeth into the Murray service game, but Murray repels him. Nadal has a chance to force a deuce point, but Murray plays a brilliant volley at the net and Nadal can't get the ball over. Nadal serves to take us into the tiebreak.
5-5 - A rare moment of light relief for Nadal on serve in this tousy second set as he holds to love. Murray with the two break point chances in the set and some fine play, but Nadal is a dangerous opponent. Murray must hold it together in this service game.
5-4 - No such dramas for Murray on his serve. He drops only one point in that game to move 5-4 clear. We've been going for 78 minutes with Murray finding seven aces and 22 winners.
4-4 - A superb defensive lob by Murray brings up two break points for Murray. Nadal's first serve hits the mark and Murray can only float the return into the net. Nadal on his second serve, but he finds his range before dominating the point. Back to deuce. A Murray forehand is smacked back across court by the backhand of Nadal for a winner before Murray finds a similar winner up the line in the next point. Nadal refuses to buckle as he takes the next two points to level at 4-4.
4-3 - Nadal's levels have dropped a few gears in this second set. Murray well in the ascendancy on serve, but he has still to gain that first vital break. Maybe in this game.
3-3 - A rare loose forehand by Nadal sees the game go to deuce. Some fine scrambling by Nadal forces Murray to miss a lob, but Nadal makes another error on the groundstrokes as the game returns to deuce. Nadal regains his composure and he punishes a short Murray dropshot to thud a winner down the line. No breaks again.
3-2 - No such problems for Murray. His first serve percentage is now a probing 79%. He is 3-2 up with his serve working as well as it has in the tournament. Another ace brings his total to seven.
2-2 - Murray shouts "come on" as he moves to 30-15 ahead on the Nadal serve. The Spanish player comes up with some fine play and superb angles to move 40-30 ahead, but Murray plays a wonderful rally to force deuce. A chink of light is there, but Nadal holds firm. Back on serve.
2-1 - Murray getting 76% of his first serves in. That was another quality service game. He held to love in that game. The Scot is playing well, but Nadal is a difficult customer in this form.
1-1 - Nadal's response is fairly predictable. No chance of a break there as Nadal holds to 15. Nadal yet to hit an ace, but his serves have carried enough potency.
1-0 - A love service game by Murray in the opening game of the second set and normal service seems to have been resumed. Only one break point of the match, but it was enough to give Nadal the first set.
4-6 - Nadal fairly launches himself into a forehand to move 40-0 ahead. Murray saves the first set point before a flashing forehand across court sees him close to 30-40, but an error by Murray allows Nadal to see it out. High class play by Nadal to move one set ahead.
4-5 - Nadal brings up the first break point of the match aided by a blistering return of serve at 30-30 and Murray swings a forehand wide as Nadal breaks. The Spanish player serves for the opening set.
4-4 - Nadal fairly strutting around the court. He dropped a couple of points there, but came up with enough pace on his groundstrokes to hold serve. No break points yet. Match dominated very much by serve.
4-3 - Beckham is applauding the Murray serve as he holds to love. He is getting 75% of his first serves in which is required against a figure like Nadal.
3-3 - Murray comes up with a glorious backhand winner across court to lead 30-15, but Nadal draws level at 30-30 with a smash. A Murray shot is too long and Nadal quickly extinguishes the threat to take the game.
3-2 - Game to the Scot. Murray misses a backhand across court from the back of the court as it slams into the net before Nadal drives a forehand winner across court. A slight danger, but Murray sees out the game without the need of deuce.
2-2 - Nadal returns the compliment with interest. He holds to love. An easy service game for the world number one. Both men still sizing each other up out there.
- Nadal leads 7-3 on previous meetings between these men, but Murray won the last match in the last eight of the Australian Open in January.
2-1 - Dream service game by Murray. Holds to love and completes the job with a lob. Very nice form on serve by the Brit. Second serve seems to be in order.
