  1. - - Next up for the world number one and defending champion will be the winner between Sam Querrey and Stanislas Wawrinka - who have not even got on court yet today. Full men's drawsheet

  2. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 7-5 - GAME, SET & MATCH! Stepanek saves a first match point with some scintilating play, throwing himself at everything and eventually finding a forehand passing shot winner. Even Djokovic has to smile at that. But Djokovic does wrap things up at the second attempt, Stepanek flinging himself at a forehand volley only to hit wide

  3. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 6-5 - BREAK! Djokovic gets up to a brilliant drop shot from Stepanek and even gets back a diving backhand volley to follow. But it sits up for the Czech who puts his forehand volley into the open court to save a first break point. He can do nothing about a second though and Djokovic wll serve for the match after the change of ends

  4. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 5-5 - Just when Stepanek might reasonable have thought he could break, Djokovic races through a love service hold to shut down any hopes his opponent had and also to level up once more

  5. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 4-5 - Djokovic has definately lost his concentration a bit as he sends a wild forehand sailing well wide into the tramlines as Stepanek posts a love service hold that leaves the world number one serving to stay in this third set

  6. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 4-4 - A bit of a dip from Djokovic in this game leaves Stepanek with a first break point of the match. But the world number one comes up with an ace, as he does, to save it and goes on to hold (at the second attempt) with another ace

  7. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 3-4 - Djokovic is furious with himself for mis-hitting a backhand return of serve and squandering yet another break point opportunity and from there Stepanek goes on to hold with an 128mph unreturnable and an ace - his first of this set

  8. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 3-3 - Djokovic holds to love to level up once again, Stepanek's attempted drop shot landing in the net on the first game point

  9. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 2-3 - While we've been catching up on those sets around the place, Djokovic and Stepanek have traded another service hold apeice. It was straightforward for Djokovic but Stepanek was forced to see off a break point before he could hold, the Czech saving it with a trip into the net and a very good backhand volley winner

  10. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 1-2 - Stepanek gives himself a quick talking to after missing a forehand approach shot long and squandering a first game point. And it works too as he promptly holds with a forehand winner on the next point

  11. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 1-1 - A straightforward game for Djokovic as he gets his third set account underway - Stepanek sending a forehand approach shot long on game point

  12. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 0-1 -Djokovic fails to take advantage of an early break point when he puts a low backhand half-volley into the net after doing all the hard work from the baseline. And Stepanek saves a second with a flicked backhand smash winner after being forced on to the defensive. Stepanek also saves a third and then a fourth with a forehand winner down the line before he goes on to hold with a forehand volley winner. That game took a whopping 17 minutes

  13. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 6-3 - SET! A big first serve followed by a whipped forehand winner off the short reply seals a hold to 15 for Djokovic that also takes the set with it. Not as comfortable for Djokovic today as it was a couple of days ago but still he is two sets to love up

  14. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 5-3 - BREAK! A blistering backhand return of serve from Djokovic is too much even for Stepanek's half-volley skills and it brings up a break point for the world number one. A dipping forehand return from Djokovic is greeted by a diving half-volley from Stepanek. But the ball sits up and Djokovic easily gets up there, Stepanek turning and presenting his backside as a target for Djokovic to hit as he goes for the cross court winner

  15. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 4-3 - Djokovic makes an increasingly common trip into the net and fires off a forehand volley winner to seal another love service hold and sneak out in front once again as this second set reaches crunch point

  16. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 3-3 - Stepanek is left skipping around the baseline after a flicked forehand over his head with his back to the court (like the Federer between-the-legs shot but over the head instead). He follows it up by racing up to the net to play a forehand volley which Djokovic can only lob long. And from there Stepanek goes on to hold to 15

  17. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 3-2 - Stepanek has now got one more point that Harrison managed the whole night but still Djokovic sneaks out in front, a sliced backhand winner opening the game before an unreturnable serve sealed it

  18. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 2-2 - Stepanek does well to hold despite losing the first point when Djokovic stretches him first out to the forehand wing and then also to the backhand wing after a trip into the net. But the Czech does recover to hold and keep things level

  19. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 2-1 - Djokovic keeps the pressure up with a hold to 15 and a huge first serve that Stepanek cannto return in play

  20. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 1-1 - An ace from Stepanek seals a quick and easy hold for the Czech to open up his account in the second set

  21. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 1-0 - Not only is Djokovic not hitting the ball as hard as usual, he's taken the pace right off the serve as well - his latest serve just 94mph. It gets the job done though and holds without any trouble for the first game of the secod set

  22. - - DJOKOVIC 6-4 - SET! A moment of inspiration from Djokovic with a forehand passing shot brings up three set points. Stepanek saves the first with a stunning, gutsy second serve. But there is nothing the Czech can do about the second, Djokovic producing a great return that Stepanek can only return into the net

  23. - - DJOKOVIC 5-4 - The Serb holds once again, a cross court forehand doing enough to prevent Stepanek from getting the ball back in play, and the Czech will have to serve to stay in this opening set after the change of ends

  24. - - DJOKOVIC 4-4 - Great work again from Stepanek as he continues with his tactic of coming into the net at every opportunity. It's working though as he finds a couple more forehand volley winners to hold once again and keep things level

  25. - - DJOKOVIC 4-3 - The Serb doesn't appear to be hitting the ball cleanly as he sends a regulation forehand long to hand Stepanek a break point. But he gets a little lucky with a net cord, Stepanek easily able to get up to the ball but not to control it and Djokovic goes on to hold when Stepanek goes long

  26. - - DJOKOVIC 3-3 - Stepanek looks to be cruising to another love service hold only for Djokovic to unleash a couple of backhand winners and a forehand winner to level up at deuce. Just a few signs that all might not be well in the Stepanek camp as he clutches at his back a couple of times during the game. But the Czech recovers to hold with a forehand volley winner

  27. - - DJOKOVIC 3-2 - Against Ryan Harrison in the second round, Djokovic dropped just eight points on serve the entire match. And he looks to be firing much the same today in the early stages as he posts a second straight love hold when Stepanek sends a low forehand whistling long of the baseline

  28. - - DJOKOVIC 2-2 - A tougher service game this time around for Stepanek but he holds from 30-30 with a forehand winner

  29. - - DJOKOVIC 2-1 - Djokovic posts a love service hold of his own to mirror Stepanek's. It's not exactly a fast moving match though, considering two of the first three games have been love holds - there is already nine minutes on the clock

  30. - - DJOKOVIC 1-1 - A love service hold from Stepanek to open up his account. Djokovic is looking pretty relaxed already though, smiling to himself after missing a forehand into the net

  31. - - DJOKOVIC 1-0 - Solid enough start from Djokovic as he holds to 30 with a forehand winner, just moments after slicing a regulation backhand long of the baseline
