Authorities Warn Against Travel as Winter Storm Impacts Northern Arizona

The Arizona Department of Transportation urged travelers to avoid the roads in portions of northern Arizona as a winter storm impacted the region on Monday, January 16.

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported that a new daily snowfall record was set after 14.8 inches of snowfall descended on the region on Sunday, January 15.

Additional snow accumulations of up to 18 inches are forecasted in the region as a winter storm warning remains in effect until January 17.
