Barge Strikes Pensacola Bridge During Hurricane Sally

A bridge spanning Pensacola Bay was closed on September 15 after a barge struck it during severe weather brought by Hurricane Sally, according to local reports.

This footage shows the barge, which appears to be stuck under the bridge that connects Pensacola with the City of Gulf Breeze.

The City of Gulf Breeze later announced the bridge’s closure for the duration of the hurricane so that it could be inspected for damage.
