Spectacular Volcanic Eruption in Nicaragua Lights Up Night Sky

Two eruptions released ash and gas from Momotombo volcano on the night of February 27. Authorities and doctors were deployed to assist communities affected by the explosions, according to Prensa Latina. Momotombo began erupting in December 2015 after more than a hundred years of relative inactivity.
