'Very Dangerous' Thunderstorm Brings Hail and Wind to Clovis, New Mexico
A severe thunderstorm traveled through eastern New Mexico on Wednesday, May 24, bringing large hail and heavy rainfall.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Clovis and surrounding communities, alerting residents of two-inch hail, winds of up to 80 mph, and even the possibility of a tornado. The NWS said the storm was very dangerous and life-threatening, and urged residents to seek shelter immediately. Clovis was also under a flash flood warning.
