I remember the first 'first ascent' I ever made - a really bad low-ball boulder, with awkward moves, covered in moss... and I thought it was the best thing ever! Thats the thing with first ascents, they are just exciting, and 15 years down the line I still get the same kick!
Over the last 3 years I've been working, on and off, on a project at a little bouldering spot in the South of France. It's small, hidden away, but it climbs really well and I loved working on it. It took me a lot of time and energy, far more than any other boulder I have climbed recently, but thats was mainly due to getting 'stuck' in the wrong method, as is quite common with first ascents. Hopefully this video will show people where it is and how it climbs, and that we might see some repeats in significantly less time than it took me.
