Four people have been killed and 27 are injured after a building collapsed on a beach in Majorca - with people still trapped inside. An area of the Medusa Beach Club in Palma collapsed at about 8.30pm local time. Witnesses reported the terrace at the top of a popular restaurant had collapsed, the Majorca Daily Bulletin reports.

A two-storey building collapsed on the beach in Palma de Mallorca killing at least four people and injuring 27 people in the tourism hot spot the country’s national police said. Firefighters and police forces rushed to the scene, emergency services said on the X social media platform, adding that some psychologists had been called in. Spanish media reported, that the building that collapsed was called Medusa Beach Club - a restaurant popular with foreign tourists.
