More like a quarterback’s pass than a three-pointer, Nikola Jokić’s scarcely believable 66-foot shot pretty much summed up his historic performance in the Denver Nuggets’ 132-123 win over the Sacramento Kings.
Jokić became the first player to get 30 points, 20 rebounds and 15 assists in an NBA game since Wilt Chamberlain.
Nikola Jokic took an inbounds pass with 1.7 seconds left in the third quarter, turned and let fly with a 66-foot heave that got all net at the other end. “I thought it had a chance, and then boom,” Russell Westbrook said. It appeared to be a footnote in what looked like a Denver Nuggets blowout win Thursday night.
