New York Jets rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore is dealing with a quadriceps injury that could sideline him for the game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The team's leading receiver with 43 receptions sat out practice Wednesday and coach Robert Saleh said Moore would be day to day as the Jets monitor the injury. “We'll know more as the week goes on,” Saleh said.
The Philadelphia Eagles have already won two more games than last season and are in the middle of the playoff race under rookie coach Nick Sirianni. “I think, obviously, I would like to be in better shape,” Sirianni said Monday, a day after the team improved to 6-7 with a 33-18 win over the New York Jets. The Eagles are a half-game behind Washington (6-6) and San Francisco (6-6) for the last two wild-card spots in the NFC.
The New York Jets' defense was brutal again. Wilson had arguably his best game in the NFL, especially the first half — a period during which he has struggled mightily. “Yeah, there were definitely improvements,” Wilson said after the game.
