The Detroit Lions decided to give Matt Patricia another chance to coach this year and have chosen to stick with him during a shaky season. Patricia may be running out of time, going into Detroit's annual home game on Thanksgiving against the Houston Texans. The Lions (4-6) were shut out last week for the first time since 2009 and a loss to Houston (3-7) would make it difficult to do what ownership said was necessary, playing meaningful games in December.
The latest debacle for the Detroit Lions began early in their Thanksgiving matchup with Houston, when they turned the ball over three times in a span of eight offensive plays. Of course, that was hardly the full extent of Detroit's problems during another dismal home loss. The Lions were still in the game after those early giveaways, but their defense offered little resistance as Deshaun Watson and the Texans rolled to a 41-25 victory Thursday.
Sasha Yodashkin reviews the Thanksgiving Day slate and expects Ezekiel Elliott to build on last week's strong performance.
