It's been a true nightmare season for the Dallas Stars and now two core members won't return for the 2021 campaign.
High-scoring Dallas Stars forward Alexander Radulov will not return this season because he needs surgery to repair a core muscle injury. Stars general manager Jim Nill said Wednesday that Radulov is expected to be fully recovered for the 2021-22 season. Radulov, primarily on the top line with Jamie Benn and Joe Pavelski when he did play, was limited to only 11 games this season because of a lower-body injury.
Denis Gurianov had his first two-goal game of the season to end a long scoring drought, Miro Heiskanen and Joe Pavelski also scored goals and the Dallas Stars beat the Columbus Blue Jackets for a much-needed 4-1 win Thursday night. The defending Western Conference champion Stars, who are in sixth place in the Central Division, went ahead for good when Jason Dickinson assisted on goals by Gurianov and Heiskanen just more than a minute apart late in the second period for a 2-1 lead.
