Chelsea travel to a wounded Manchester City team on Saturday evening as they look to inflict more pain on Pep Guardiola's side.

Enzo Maresca's team earned a much-needed 3-1 win over Wolves on Monday night to end a five-match winless run in the Premier League. Although dreams of a title challenge have faded for the Blues, they remain in the hunt for a top-four finish and a return to the Champions League.

Chelsea currently sit fourth in the top-flight table, two points clear of Saturday's opponents, who sit fifth. City have struggled badly in recent months, and Wednesday's 4-2 defeat, having been two nil up, epitomised their ragged campaign so far.

Guardiola's team have all but conceded their Premier League crown with City a staggering 12 points behind league leaders Liverpool after 22 matches, having also played a game more than the Reds. Saturday's game at the Etihad though will see two teams who have several injury problems within their squads.

Maresca is set to be without seven players for the trip to east Manchester. Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Romeo Lavia, Levi Colwill, Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk and Omari Kellyman are all injury doubts for Chelsea.

However, the Blues boss was optimistic that Colwill and Fernandez may return in time to play this weekend. "Probably Levi and Enzo could be available, it depends on today's session. Romeo will be out," he said at Friday morning's pre-match press conference.

For City, five players are set to miss the game. Rodri, Ruben Dias, Jeremy Doku, Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake are injury concerns for the reigning English champions.

Issuing a major update about Dias during his pre-match press conference, City boss Guardiola said: "Adductor. I don't know [how long he is out]. He was stable, always he is able to play a lot of games, this season [he cannot]."

It means 12 players in total could miss this weekend's clash in Manchester between City and Chelsea.
