The matchup between the Gamecocks and the Horned Frogs had all the hype you'd expect. It was two top-10-ranked teams, both of which had been playing stellar basketball. TCU was undefeated, and South Carolina has been rolling since being upset by UCLA. The game was evenly matched early, but an Ashlyn Watkins dunk changed everything.
TCU's Sedona Prince blocked Watkins, leading to a transition possession. But then, Watkins stole the ball back and dunked on Prince just as she tried to get back to the basket. It was so filthy that it changed the whole game's trajectory. TCU never recovered as it coughed up the ball 20 times, couldn't get its offense going and only had one scorer in double figures ― Hailey Van Lith.
