Impartial Reporter freelance photographers have shared their personal favourite photographs from 2024, and explain what they mean to them. Here, Tim Flaherty discusses his favourite five.

1) Belcoo Gaa's fundraising event, 'The Oskars', was a great success. More than 90 locals featured in numerous films. 'Shawshank Redemption' was one of them. The brilliant Joe Broyan played the part of Andy Dufresne and was well deserving of his Oskar. Here we have a very modest and amused Joe shortly after receiving his award. Note the resemblance to another famous actor, Richard Attenborough!

2) The Donkey Derby at Necarne. Going, going ... gone! This is where one competitor parted company with one stubborn donkey. It's lucky the jockey was wearing a helmet!

3) IFC. Tempo v Belcoo. After losing their first game to Maguiresbridge, the pressure was on Belcoo. Four points down at half-time, it wasn't looking good. However, Belcoo started to play better in the second half and started to peg back Tempo, but just couldn't put them away. That was until a brilliant pass into Eoin Shiels who rattled the net for what was a deciding factor in the result going Belcoo's way. A delighted Eoin wheels away after scoring Belcoo's goal. His demeanour and facial expression shows his relief.

4) Hallowe'en in Belcoo. The 'Ghost Hunt' in the Cottage Meadow is always popular. Here we have a couple of local heroes who thought they should investigate who it was that was lurking in the shadows. They changed their minds after the 'Ghost' moved! To be fair to them, it was relatively dark when they decided to investigate. (The flash only brightens the scene for the photograph.)

5) A visit to Willowbridge never fails to impress. The helpful staff and friendly pupils make it a school I enjoy visiting. Here we have children enjoying the 'Multisensory Wake Up Santa' story.
