3 players Liverpool could sell this month to make room for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia transfer
There was a somewhat surprise update on Liverpool's January transfer plans on Thursday as it was reported that Liverpool could make a move for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia during the January transfer window.
A swoop is not imminent, but The Athletic reports that the Reds are among the teams that are interested in Kvaratskhelia, who has emerged as one of the most exciting young wingers in Europe in recent years.
Liverpool would reportedly have to make room for Kvaratskhelia in Arne Slot's squad, which means possible player sales, and here are three players who the Reds could offload this month...

Federico Chiesa
Federico Chiesa was viewed as an opportunistic addition to the Liverpool squad when he arrived for an initial $12million transfer fee from Juventus in the summer.

The move has simply not worked out so far, with Chiesa appearing just four times and featuring just once since September. His fitness has been cited as an issue by Slot throughout the season and feels like the future generally looks pretty bleak for Chiesa at Anfield.
Speculation over a return to Italy during the January window has naturally been gathering pace in recent weeks, and Napoli is said to be among the clubs that are interested in Chiesa. Could some form of swap deal be on the cards?
Darwin Nunez
Darwin Nunez is well into his third season at Liverpool and, in truth, he has never truly convinced that he has what it takes to carry the burden of being the Reds' main striker.
Nunez managed 15 goals in his first season at Anfield and netted 18 goals last term, but he is enduring his worst campaign on Merseyside yet under Arne Slot, who does not often select the Uruguayan to start the big games.
Diogo Jota was Liverpool's first-choice striker under Slot until he sustained a chest injury in October, but Nunez was unable to capitalize on the Portuguese's absence, with Slot largely favoring Luis Diaz through the middle. It might be time for Nunez to move on this month.
Harvey Elliott
We probably wouldn't be mentioning Harvey Elliott were it not for the emergence of a report by Sky Sports this week that said the 21-year-old is attracting interest from clubs in England and abroad.
Brighton and Borussia Dortmund are both said to be interested in Elliott, who has barely figured for the Reds this season. Elliott missed a huge chunk of the season after fracturing his foot while on international duty in September.
Elliott has appeared in eight of Liverpool's last 10 fixtures, but only one of those appearances was from the start, and Sky's report says that the possibility of an exit this month is increasing.
