Rob Lee told ‘The 32’ he believes Cristiano Ronaldo can easily play until he’s 40.

Speaking as special guest on Yahoo’s latest World Cup show, the former Newcastle and England man described Ronaldo as ‘the best ever’ after his blistering start in Russia.

Portugal’s talisman and all-time leading scorer has already hit four goals at the World Cup, following up his hattrick against Spain with the decisive strike in his country’s win over Morocco.

Former Premier League legend Lee, 52, was asked if Ronaldo, playing at his fourth World Cup, is now ‘unstoppable’.

He replied: ‘I think so.

‘I was very lucky to play with some great players – Alan Shearer was one, and his goal record was one-in-two, which made him known as a great striker.

‘Ronaldo and Messi get one-in-one. He wants to play until he’s 40, and if you look at him, he probably will.

‘He’s had no major injuries, he doesn’t look like he’s going to get injured and he’s just a phenomenal player.
