5 Cooper Kupp trade destinations (Cowboys!) as the Rams seek to move on from the veteran
The Los Angeles Rams intend to trade wide receiver Cooper Kupp this offseason, according to the veteran on Monday.
Kupp will be 32 to start the 2025 season, and he's coming off a 710-yard, six-touchdown season where he was active for 12 games.
His general availability will continue to be a knock on his game as he gets older, but he's still a potent option in the passing game when he's healthy.
After eight seasons in Los Angeles as Sean McVay's favorite chess piece and a Super Bowl win, Kupp will now land on a new team for this season and beyond. Where might he go? Here are five options.
Cincinnati Bengals
If the Bengals lose wide receiver Tee Higgins to free agency this offseason, Kupp might be the ideal fit to play opposite of Ja'Marr Chase and replace Higgins' impact on the offense. The Super Bowl window is open for Cincinnati, and we're sure quarterback Joe Burrow wouldn't mind adding Kupp to the offense if the Bengals can't make a deal happen with Higgins.
Dallas Cowboys
Kupp going to Dallas feels like such a Cowboys move. Jerry Jones wants to win now, and Kupp pairs well with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Dallas desperately needs production from that second receiver spot, and Kupp could provide that and then some.
New England Patriots
The Patriots need to get quarterback Drake Maye a veteran receiver he can lean on as he develops. Kupp could fit the bill. He could honestly be the top receiver in New England next season, and the Patriots have the cap space to afford his contract as it is.
Kansas City Chiefs
This might sound unfair with Kansas City about to contend for yet another Super Bowl, but the future is always now for the Chiefs. Adding Kupp could be the kind of "we're not going anywhere" move Kansas City makes this March to put the rest of the league on continued notice.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers need more help at wide receiver, and Kupp feels like a perfect compliment to the speedy Ladd McConkey. Plus, Kupp wouldn't even need to change out stadiums. The Chargers feel like a sneaky perfect option for Kupp, who could stay home and still play for a contender.
