Newcastle United could dip into the transfer market and strengthen their squad this month. Eddie Howe's side are enjoying a rich vein of form right now, winning their last NINE matches in all competitions.

Six of those have come in the Premier League, with the Magpies moving from mid-table and up into the Champions League places. In an attempt to cement their position in the top-four, Newcastle are expected to do some business before the end of the January transfer window.

A new striker to support Alexander Isak could be an option. Callum Wilson has played just four matches this season after struggling with injuries, while current fit second-choice William Osula has potential and might need more time before becoming a regular starter at the top level.

There has been talk over Newcastle signing a new right winger, too. With Miguel Almiron subject of a £10million bid from Atlanta, the Magpies might need to dip into the market to bolster that area. Jacob Murphy has been utilised there in recent weeks, scoring three goals and adding seven assists this season.

And with this in mind, AI has revealed the three signings Newcastle need to make to push for the TITLE. Howe's side sit fourth at the moment, nine points behind leaders Liverpool, who boast a game in hand. With the Magpies still facing the prospect of a trip to Anfield next month, that gap could get smaller.

The research, from Bonuscodebets.co.uk, tasked ChatGPT with recommending three signings for each Premier League team to make – identifying their weaknesses this season, and where they need to look in the transfer window to ensure they have the best possible squad for the rest of the season.

And the signings recommended for Newcastle were Fikayo Tomori (AC Milan), Johan Bakayoko (PSV) and Aaron Ramsdale (Southampton).

Tomori would bolster Newcastle's defensive unit. He has been linked with a switch to Tyneside in the past and has Premier League experience during his time at Chelsea. The 27-year-old has been at Milan since June 2021 and has since featured 161 times for the San Siro club.

Bakayoko, meanwhile, would help fix Newcastle's woes on the right wing. The Belgian has been impressive for PSV since breaking into the first team in 2022 and has scored six goals in 23 matches this season. The 21-year-old has been touted by some of Europe's biggest clubs.

As for Ramsdale, he moved to Southampton from Arsenal in August. Despite being part of the leakiest defence in the Premier League this season, Ramsdale has impressed. With Saints looking like they will be relegated back to the Championship, he could be on the move again.
