Aggression is part and parcel of rugby, whether it's bone-crunching hits or tensions boiling over outside the match itself.

More often than not, whether it's at grassroots or the elite level, when a brawl breaks out, it involves pretty much all the players. However, there was one scenario which differed to the norm.

Old Elizabethans RFC were taking on Bredon Star. Most of the players (a real emphasis on 'most' there) were engaged in the game itself, with Old Elizabethans attempting to work their way up the field.

Before you know it, full-back Matty Carr makes a break down the touchline. Now you're thinking: "There's a covering full-back to stop him, right?"

It turned out to be an easy run-in for Carr, who cruised in unopposed, and this is because full-back Stefan Lasota was engaged in a serious altercation with Barry Wilson, who appeared as if he was going to take his head off with a big right hand.

Cries of 'Barry! Barry!' could be heard from the touchline, but nothing was stopping him from getting stuck into Lasota, who was powerless to stop the try.

Fans began to laugh afterwards, as Old Elizabethans crossed the whitewash, with many able to see the funny side of things. A source from the club confirmed that no punches were actually thrown in the end, with Wilson sparing his opponent!

RugbyDump captioned the video: "When Barry has been told to take care of the full-back". You can watch the clip below.

At the time, the footage was viewed over 2.5 million times on RugbyDump, before WalesOnline went on to grab a further 900,000 views. The clip then featured in the 'Most-watched rugby videos of 2022' on WalesOnline, which got 2.7m views.
