Aberdeen are keen on bringing the versatile Alexander Jensen to Pittodrie, but Brommapojkarna have slapped an £800,000 price tag on the defender.

Record Sport is reporting that he is one of several options being considered by Jimmy Thelin in the transfer market, with the Dons currently facing a crisis at centre-back.

Gavin Molloy is out injured and Slobodan Rubezic is suspended after his red card against Motherwell last weekend, leaving only Angus MacDonald fit for Sunday's Hearts clash.

The Reds have already held talks with the Swedish club but it remains to be seen if a deal can be done. Brommapojkarna would have to drop their valuation for the move to happen.

Having started his professional career with Vejle and then Fredericia, the Danish defender can play in a number of positions, as a midfielder or full back on either side, which would make him a useful addition to Thelin's squad.

The 23-year-old has been at Brommapojkarna since 2023. The Premiership club would be keen to make the move but not at the current levels that are being quoted.

Aberdeen have, however, made Jeppe Okkels their first signing of the January window. The winger, who previously played for Thelin at Elfsborg, has joined from Preston on loan with an option.

Latvian captain Kristers Tobers from Grasshoppers remains an active central defensive target.
