Aberdeen Women fall to 8-0 defeat at Celtic as Scott Booth's tough start continues
Aberdeen endured another tough outing on Tuesday night as Celtic ran out 8-0 winners in the Scottish Women's Premier League.
Braces for Caitlin Hayes and Saoirse Noonan, as well as strikes from Amy Gallacher, Emma Lawton, Kelly Clark, and Jennifer Smith sealed a comprehensive victory for the hosts, leaving the Reds 10th in the table.
Former Dons ace Scott Booth made notable changes to their lineup, with captain Hannah Stewart starting on the bench and Francesca Oglivie handed the armband.

Just four minutes later, the hosts would double their lead when Noonan would finish a chance, crafted by Gallacher.
Aberdeen continued to fight back, with Emily Kraft picking out Holly McEvoy with a through ball however, Celtic goalkeeper Chloe Logan would deny McEvoy.

A penalty in the 28th minute of the game was converted by Gallacher before Noonan would grab her second goal of the night less than 10 minutes later, hitting the bar and converting the rebound.
Celtic shot-stopper Kelly Clark would deny Aberdeen again, this time clearing Kraft’s header off the line, before Hayes would double her tally for the night, as Celtic cruised into half-time commanding a 5-0 lead.
The second-half began with substitute Annalisa McCann making a crucial intervention just minutes after coming on, to stop Celtic adding to their lead.
However, no one was able to stop Emma Lawton who headed in Celtic’s sixth goal after 58 minutes.

The Celtic attack proved to be too much for Aberdeen, as Clark would add a seventh after scoring from a corner in the 75th minute.
The hosts continued their ruthless assault on the Dons goal but were stopped by some late heroics from new signing Ellie-May Cowie.
Celtic remained relentless to grab an eighth however and would reap their rewards when Smith found herself free to tap in a late goal from close range in stoppage time.
It was a disappointing night for Aberdeen as they couldn’t compete with the clinical Celtic side, who will now look to regroup and focus their attention on Hibernian in another testing away day on Sunday in Edinburgh.
