Marcus Rashford has been linked with a move away from Manchester United - but now it seems one potential destination is out of the running.

Several clubs have been credited with an interest in signing Rashford during the January transfer window. United are yet to sign any new players for Ruben Amorim's squad, but Rashford is one player at United that has been tipped to head for the exit door at Old Trafford.

Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund have been mentioned in reports as showing an interest in signing Rashford. Another club is AC Milan, but a potential move there is now off the table.

That's because AC have agreed a deal to sign Manchester City captain Kyle Walker on loan for the remainder of the season. The agreement includes an option to buy the defender in the summer when the loan deal comes to an end.

Due to the move being temporary, it affects Milan's ability to sign Rashford. Serie A rules state that they are only allowed to sign two non-EU players during one transfer window. This rule also means that only one of those players can be from England.

As a result, Milan signing Walker would mean they are no longer allowed to sign any more players from England. This would then end the Italian club's chances of signing Rashford on loan from United before the end of the transfer window.

Rashford has not played for United since December 12, having not featured in any of the club's last nine matches in all competitions. The 27-year-old took part in training on Wednesday ahead of the Europa League fixture at home to Rangers, just over a month after saying he wanted a "new challenge" in an interview before the New Year.

The Manchester Evening News reported on Monday that Rashford still has a desire to play for United, and has been taking part in extra training sessions at Carrington.
