Adam Le Fondre won't be offered a new contract by Hibs to extend his stay beyond this summer.

The veteran striker, 37, moved to Easter Road on a free transfer at the start of the season following his release from Australian side Sydney FC. Signed by Lee Johnson, the ex-Reading, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers star has five goals in 25 appearances to his name this season.

Le Fondre missed a chunk of the season with a knee injury but has returned to the fold and played in the majority of the Hibees' games since February. But as Hibs prepare to clear the decks this summer following a dismal season which saw them miss out on the top six, Le Fondre will be one of a number of casualties, according to the Sunday Mail.

Experienced trio David Marshall, Paul Hanlon and Lewis Stevenson are also out of contract this summer and it's expected they will be allowed to move on.

Loan stars including Myzian Maolida and Emiliano Marcondes are due to return to their parent clubs, although Montgomery has a desire to keep the impressive duo at Easter Road - with the latter out of contract at Bournemouth.
