Ahu Obhakhan became a viral sensation on Sunday thanks to his sensational goal in Portadown's 2-2 draw at Cliftonville.

The striker produced a superb improvised finish getting in front of his marker Jack Keaney before flicking Steven McCullough's cross off his heel and over David Odumosu in the home goal to level things up for the ports before half-time.

Sky Sports, who were covering the game live, posted a clip of the goal on their official 'X' football account with over 150,000 people viewing Obhakhan's impressive piece of skill so far.

They were suitably impressed with the strike with @HethBarry posting: "Puskas awards stuff."

It wouldn't be the first time an Irish League goal was nominated for the Puskas Award after Matty Burrows' iconic strike for Glentoran ironically against Portadown back in 2010.

Burrows attended the Ballon d'Or awards where he lost out to Turkey midfielder Hamit Altintop.

Portadown striker Obhakhan isn't thinking of any star-studded awards ceremonies just yet as he played down Sunday's special strike at Solitude.

"To be honest I was just trying to get something on it," he told Ports TV.

"I think me and Stevie [McCullough] have a nice connection now so I know when he gets it he's going to put in a pretty nice ball.

"I just wanted to get a good contact and hope for the best. It was just about getting in front of my man and getting a good touch on it and thankfully it went in."
