Aiden McGeady Celtic 'sorry Rangers' title win dig makes social media comeback as Hoops celebrate three-in-a-row

Celtic have used archive footage of Aiden McGeady to celebrate officially winning the Premiership title this evening.

The Hoops battered Kilmarnock 5-0 at Rugby Park to sprint past the finish line as they beat Rangers to the trophy to lift it for the third time in a row in Brendan Rodgers' first season back. It was a stylish victory for Celts and their social media team wanted to celebrate in style as they brought back an old classic for supporters.

Back in 2008, Gordon Strachan's side beat Dundee United 1-0 at Tannadice to secure the silverware and from inside the changing room, McGeady clutched the trophy.

Staring down the Celtic TV cameras, the Ireland international said: "Sorry Rangers. Three in a row, sorry. Three in a row", before he was interrupted by a laughing Darren O'Dea.

And now the club re-shared the moment from a "unique angle" as they gave an alternative take on their usual matchday content.

Editing out the "sorry Rangers" from the beginning, they captioned the clip: "Time for a long overdue @CelticTV Unique Angle". It racked up thousands of likes and shares.
