Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran is set to sign for Al-Nassr in a deal worth £65m plus add-ons.

The Saudi Pro League side decided against Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface in favour of landing Duran in what will be Villa's second-highest transfer sale after Jack Grealish.

Duran is said to be in London with his agent and a Saudi delegation for his medical tests ahead of becoming a new Al-Nassr player. The Colombia international will then fly to Saudi to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al-Nassr have until Friday to complete the deal, with the Saudi Pro League winter transfer window set to close three days before Premier League clubs close for transfer business.

Ollie Watkins has also been the subject of transfer interest this week after Arsenal saw an offer rejected on Monday. Villa were understandably furious about the timing of the leak, on the night of their huge Champions League clash against Celtic on Wednesday evening.

After Villa went in at half-time level with Celtic, Watkins restored Villa’s lead to make it 3-2 in front of the Holte End on the hour mark. He also made two assists, but missed a penalty after slipping over before connecting with the ball.

As Duran closes in on a move to Al-Nassr, Villa are expected to firm up their interest in Joao Felix, who has been a prime target for Unai Emery in previous transfer windows.
