Al-Nassr release denial statement about Jhon Duran after Aston Villa transfer
Jhon Duran's new club Al-Nassr have publicly rubbished reports that their January transfer window addition from Aston Villa is refusing to live in Saudi and is instead completing a lengthy journey everyday from Bahrain. There were claims made in this country that Duran and his girlfriend were living in Bahrain and that the forward was travelling hundreds of miles in order to attend training each day.
Colombian forward Duran, 21, made his debut for Al-Nassr in their AFC Champions League Elite win over Al-Wasl on Monday, following the move worth €77m from Villa. There have since been suggestions that he and his girlfriend aren't actually living in Saudi, and he is instead taking the aerial commute to and from work.
Al-Nassr, who are third in the Saudi Pro League midway through the season and are eight points behind leaders Al-Hilal, have made light of those suggestions and have confirmed that Duran is indeed living nearby in Riyadh.

"We all heard about what’s called “fake news”, but this is an obnoxiously funny fake news," Al-Nassr posted. "We are happy that our club matters this much. Jhon loves Riyadh and his house is near the club and the stadium. He is our new family member."
