Albion happy to see Stefanovic back going into second half of WSL season
Albion hope to see Dejana Stefanovic play a big part in the second half of the season.
The Serbia midfielder has been troubled by injury throughout most of her two years at the club.
But she returned to action off the bench in the midweek League Cup defeat by Arsenal, looking strong and positive.
The hope will be she can play a part in fixtures which start with the tough-looking WSL clash at Manchester United tomorrow (6.45pm).
But Dario Vidosic will be wary of expecting too much too soon.
The Seagulls boss told The Argus: “I think that is a positive. She is back now for us.
“She has missed a lot in term of training and being with us.
“But she is a good player and she will hopefully help us a lot for this second part of the season.
“She has had basically a crash course in the way we play but she has got a lot of qualities and we are excited for the coming weeks with her.”
Albion have lost both games since the winter break and Vidosic wants them to be less timid in possession.
He said: “It’s belief – that confidence. I think sometimes it is easier to be confident when you don’t have the ball.
“You just have to move. You are closing down space.
“But then it’s ‘What do I do when I have the ball?’ because now the decisions could lead to an error or a goal.
“I don’t know if we are thinking that way at the moment.
“Thinking more in a negative way than a positive way.”
Nikita Parris and Jorelyn Carabali played limited minutes off the bench against the Gunners while first-choice goalkeeper Sophie Baggaley was rested.
