Albion move FA Cup tie due to pitch concerns at Crawley
Albion have moved their Women’s FA Cup tie away from the Broadfield Stadium.
They will instead face Championship outfit Durham at the club’s Lancing training base tomorrow (7pm).
All tickets sold to home fans have been returned and refunded.
However, 150 tickets will be made available from 9am tomorrow to Albion season ticket holders who had already booked their places for the game.
Ticket holders will be contacted by the supporter services team by email with details of how to apply.
Durham’s visit to Sussex was initially called off earlier this month due a frozen Crawley pitch, despite attempts to get the game on by pushing back kick-off.
This time the concern is waterlogging, with the surface already wet and more rain likely.
Albion have taken what they have described as a proactive decision to move the match, in consultation with the FA.
They will honour tickets purchased by away fans.
The match will streamed live on Albion’s YouTube channel.
