Albion Rovers boss: It's like we're in pre-season after so long on sidelines
Albion Rovers boss Sandy Clark quipped it feels like the club are in pre-season as they head into a sixth week without a competitive game.
Storm Eowyn caused damage to the roof at Cliftonhill on Friday as hurricane-force winds swept the country, forcing Saturday’s Lowland League clash with Cowdenbeath to be postponed.
And Clark said: “It is so frustrating. That is going to be six weeks without a game so it will almost be like having a pre-season.

“The roof in the main stand was damaged. A bit of the corrugated roof had come off and there was a bit loose, hanging down, so it was a health and safety issue for fans and the players.
“It was an easy decision to call the game off but I’m certain that will all be sorted for our next game on Saturday.
“We still managed to have a training session and do as much as we could in the situation, but it is not ideal compared to a competitive 90 minutes.”
Attention now turns to Lowland League Cup action with Rovers due to host Bo’ness United in a first round tie on Saturday. With the league title out of reach, a run in the cup can give the club something to play for.
Clark added: “I keep saying we are capable of doing well against every team in this league, but we know East Kilbride will be the favourites, as always.
“For everyone else, it is up for grabs. It would be good to keep interest in the season going by getting a victory on Saturday and going as far as we can.
“Bo’ness beat us 2-1 the last time we played and we let ourselves down that night. We lost two goals from headers.
“I saw Bo’ness last week and we had them watched on Saturday so we’re up to speed with what to expect from them.”
