Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho had plenty of eyes on him last night in the 2-1 win over Rangers in the Europa League. The winger was named in the starting XI by Ruben Amorim despite interest from Napoli and Chelsea.

The 20-year-old was one of United's brightest sparks against the Scottish side, hitting the post from close range and forcing Jack Butland into a good save.

United's financial situation means Garnacho has been made available this window. Napoli and Chelsea have both shown interest, with the Red Devils said to be holding out for around £60million. A £40m bid has already been turned down by Napoli, forcing Antonio Conte to consider options elsewhere.

After the dramatic win on Thursday night, Amorim was asked if it might have been Garnacho's final game at Old Trafford. He said: "No, I'm focused on the games and he's here, he's a player for Manchester United. Was really important for us today and let's see in the next days.

"I think he's improving in every aspect of the game. He was better today playing inside, also outside, changing positions, he's improving in recovering position."

Following Thursday night's success, Garnacho took to Instagram to thank the Old Trafford faithful for their support. Alongside a number of images from the game - including one of him applauding the Stretford End - the winger wrote: "Strong team performance. Thank you Old Trafford."

Prior to the game, it was reported that Chelsea were preparing a bid for the Argentinian in the final week and a half of the transfer window. Enzo Maresca's men are thought to have made contact over his availability and made 'checks' on the situation.
