Manchester United's Premier League woes continued on Sunday as they were defeated 3-1 by Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

Unlike they did earlier in the week against Southampton, United were able to come from behind and make it back-to-back victories at Old Trafford in the Premier League as goals from Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter secured a historic victory for the Seagulls.

After Minteh fired Brighton in front, Bruno Fernandes restored parity at Old Trafford as he converted his penalty midway through the second. And sadly for manager Ruben Amorim, that was as good as it got.

But you already knew that, didn't you? Here, the Manchester Evening News brings you the latest news and rumours surrounding United.

Garnacho 'holds' talks with Antonio Conte amid Napoli rumours

Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly talked with Antonio Conte about a potential move to Napoli.

Garnacho, 20, has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this month, with United under pressure to adhere to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules.

However, Corriere dello Sport now claims that Garnacho has held talks with the Napoli manager about a potential switch to Serie A.

MEN says: If the reports from Italy are true and Garnacho is close to leaving Old Trafford, it would be a huge shame for United as the Argentine has been one of the few shining lights during a difficult few seasons at the club.

Since making his first-team debut at the end of the 2021/22 season, Garnacho has repeatedly displayed his quality for United under several managers to underline his status as one of the most exciting young players in the Premier League.

But if United are struggling to adhere to the Premier League's PSR rules, then sadly for Garnacho, he might be the sacrificial lamb at Old Trafford.

United eye to stump Liverpool in race for Milos Kerkez

Manchester United are one of several Premier League sides interested in Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, the Manchester Evening News has learnt.

The 21-year-old left-back has been one of the Premier League's standout performers since joining the Cherries in the summer of 2023, and earlier this month, it was reported that Liverpool and Manchester City were also eyeing a move for the Hungary international.

However, the MEN has learnt that United are now eyeing a move for Kerkez, who they see as a long-term replacement for Luke Shaw.

MEN says: Since moving to Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar 18 months ago, Kerkez has been one of the shining lights of Andoni Iraola's side.

This season, the left-back has started all 22 of Bournemouth's Premier League games and even scored an emphatic goal in the 4-1 thrashing of Newcastle United on Saturday.

If United were to beat rivals Liverpool and City to the signature of Kerkez, it would be quite the coup for Amorim's side, who have been without Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia for most of the season.
