Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly set to stay at Manchester United this winter as options elsewhere for the winger are not forthcoming.

Under Erik ten Hag, Garnacho had become an undroppable with his performances on the flanks considered to be vital to any limited success United attained under the Dutchman. However, upon Ruben Amorim's arrival at the club, the Argentine has found opportunities more limited.

Alongside Marcus Rashford, Garnacho was dropped from the squad that travelled to Manchester City for the derby. Unlike Rashford, Garnacho did manage to reclaim his place on the bench but he has not started a game since.

MEN Sport reported on Thursday that United had revoked the 'untouchable' status afforded to Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana in the summer. This means that the Reds are open to offers for any player in January and the upcoming summer transfer window as they try to alleviate Financial Fair Play (FFP) concerns.

Garnacho is considered to be one player who could feasibly be sold by Amorim as he does not seem suited for the attacking midfield position in the 3-4-3 system. However, according to the Daily Mirror, Garnacho will be likely to remain at Old Trafford - at least until the end of the season.

This is because it is believed that no clubs are currently interested in signing Garnacho in January. The 20-year-old has reportedly been offered to European clubs for a price of £60m.

Atletico Madrid had been linked with an approach but there appears to be some bad blood remaining in the Spanish capital by the manner in which he chose to leave Diego Simeone's side for United. Barcelona have been looking at the forward but do not have the financial capabilities to complete a deal at this time.

Meanwhile, PSG have also been mooted but they have yet to make their interest formal. As such, Garnacho will likely have to sit tight this window before he is potentially sold in the summer to raise funds for Amorim's squad rebuild.
