Napoli are reportedly growing confident of reaching an agreement with Alejandro Garnacho ahead of a possible January move away from Manchester United.

Garnacho is subject of interest from Serie A this month after previously falling out of favour with Ruben Amorim. Earlier this window, it emerged that the winger was no longer viewed as untouchable, like he was in the summer.

The Argentine has recently returned to United's team and played a big part in Sunday's FA Cup win over Arsenal. He provided an assist for Bruno Fernandes at the Emirates Stadium prior to the Red Devils' penalty shoot-out win.

However, speculation has continued to link the 20-year-old with a move away from Old Trafford. Napoli are the favourites to sign him after allowing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to move for Paris Saint-Germain.

The Georgia international is set to join the Ligue 1 leaders for €75million (£63.1m) meaning Antonio Conte is short of options out wide but would have money to reinvest. However, United and Napoli are yet to agree on the proposed financial package.

Il Mattino has claimed that the Italian side are confident in agreeing personal terms with Garnacho with a five-year contract worth €3m (£2.5m), although the winger's representatives are pushing for a €4m-per-year contract.

The problem is placed in the difference in valuation of the player. United are reportedly demanding €80m (£67.3m) while the Partenopei are only willing to pay €50m (£42m). The €30m (£25.2m) difference could be the factor that puts a stop to a possible move this January.
