Alex Williamson to officially begin Scottish Rugby CEO role on Monday
Alex Williamson will officially begin his role as Scottish Rugby’s Chief Executive this Monday, January 20, just over 12 months after Mark Dodson announced his departure.
It follows a lengthy recruitment process which saw original choice Mark Darbon change his mind at the last minute to take up the CEO role with the R&A, golf's St Andrews-based governing body.

Williamson, the former boss of House of Fraser and The Goodwood Group, was unveiled on September 11 but has had to work through his notice period with Inspiring Learning before taking up the Murrayfield role.
Scottish Rugby Limited Chairman John McGuigan has been keen to have his new CEO in situ before the Six Nations kicks off on January 31.
Scotland take on Italy at Murrayfield in their opening fixture on February 1.
